Well I think this is the only pic I have, but it’s better than no pic at all (which has happened.). So I found the base of this sofa table in my neighbors trash. It was an aquarium stand. It was nice and rusted! My husband wanted me to paint the black iron base but I said NO WAY! We picked out some wood together at Home Depot and he started cutting! Hubby did a great job. I found some new color of stain at Home Depot( sorry can’t remember name) and my husband got busy while I played with the kiddos. Truthfully, husband was the craftsman on this one, he even stained it for me. I kind of felt like a designer in that I had a vision, gave direction, and then there was a finished piece. I do love it when we get to work together on a piece and turns out nicely!
Thanks for visiting. God Bless

Chevron Side Tables w/ Shape Tape
Hello Friends (and Family)
I have been crazy busy… creating new things :)\
Well, as usual, I don’t have a before pic. I was given a new phone for my birthday and I may or may not have taken a pic on my old phone…we will never know.
I picked these two little side tables up at a garage sale…they were unfinished wood with no tops on them. I got them for $5 each 🙂 If I told you what else I bought from this woman you would not EVEN believe me. I am sure, one day soon I will share but as a hint…she called it “the wood”! Anyways, My hubby put some tops on these for me, because he is awesome!
I had seen the frog brand “shape tape” on pinterest I think so I set out to find it of course in a chevron pattern, because chevron makes my heart skip a beat 😉 Because this was raw wood, I decided to use Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint, which I am smitten with. Here is a pic of the shape tape on the table top.
I, unfortunately, don’t have any more “in the process” pics but i do have the a few more after pics. I painted these in Linen and used both MMS Furniture Wax along with Antiquing wax.
I loved the tape, it worked beautifully! I do wish that the chevron pattern was a little larger in size giving a more dramatic look, but that’s okay. I have wanted to many times to paint a chevron pattern but the thought of planning out the pattern made me not follow through.
Here are a few more pics…
I am not sure which I like more…the table or the pallet behind it 🙂
Please feel free to ask questions if you have any.
Thanks for looking and God Bless!
Its Been WAY to Long!
I have not posted in forever because I have been unable to get my pictures to upload from my camera! I have no idea why but i tried again today and now it is working. I have neglected to take pics of some recent projects because I was disheartened. BUT I have good news…I gave it another shot tonight and had no problems. All of my pics were able to download. SO I plan on sharing some new things real soon. Stay tuned!
God Bless!

Twice Made Over Chair
I have had this chair for quite some time. I loved its bones and the detail work on it. It also had a rich brown color to it so I knew I wanted to pull that back through the paint. Continue reading

Painted Buffet in Maison Blanche Furniture Paint
So this is probably one of my favorite painted pieces to date. I have always loved these type of buffets but find they are usually priced high. I splurged a little on this one, but felt like it was a good investment. I love the bones! Continue reading

Playing with Milk Mustard Seed Milk Paint!
Yesterday I had the great privilege of taking a Miss Mustard Seed milk paint course with the president of Homestead House Milk Paint. It was such a wonderful pleasure to absorb all her years of knowledge.
The other retailers there were so gracious to help me make my sample color boards. I still have to wax them and as soon as I do I’ll get some good pics posted.
